This grand tour of the Sahara Desert is pure adrenaline, where you will be sure to experience some very strong emotions, exoticism, as well as enjoy the hospitality of its people and much more! The perfect getaway to Marrakech and the Sahara desert in 8 days and 7 nights. This tour includes four nights in Marrakech, one night in Tinghir, one night in the Merzouga desert and one night in Ourzazate.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival at Marrakech airport you will be assisted on your transfer from Marrakech airport<\/strong> to your hotel or Riad. You can enjoy some free time, a hammam & spa session or a private guided city tour of Marrakech<\/strong> (this is optional and dependent on the time of your arrival at Marrakech airport). You can then enjoy dinner and accommodation.<\/p>\n Our second day begins with breakfast at the hotel or Riad followed by a private guided tour of Marrakech. you will visit the Menara Gardens- La Kutubia Mosque<\/strong> (only exterior to non-Muslims) – Bahia Palace – Jemaa El Fna Square – the old medina<\/strong> – The Jewish quarter of Marrakech and the Majorelle Gardens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We will then return to our accommodation at the hotel or Riad.<\/p>\n We will enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel and depart to tour the High Atlas mountains via the impressive Tizi Ntichka pass until we reach Ourzazate where we will stop for a \u00a0lunch. Then we will continue our tour to Alkala \u00a0Mgouna where a very fragrant type of rose with an excellent aroma is grown. It is there where we will reach the extraordinary route to the Kasbahs, fortified towns built with adobes. This landscape is captivating due to the strength of its contrasts, it’s light and it’s silence. It is one of the most attractive places to visit in Morocco. At dusk we will arrive at Tinghir where we will settle into our accommodation and have dinner. This route is 363 km (225 miles).<\/p>\n Day four starts with breakfast and we soon depart for one of the most extraordinary places that nature has ever created: the Gorges of Todra. Through erosion the Todra River has built a narrow gorge with vertical walls that are over 300m high (984 feet). It is a real spectacle to visit the Gorges of Todra. After crossing this impressive gorge we will arrive at Erfoud, also known as the door to the desert. Here we will visit the fossil extraction center of Erfoud, testimony to the incredible aquatic life that existed here several millions of years ago. From Erfoud we will continue towards Merzouga and to Erg Chebbi desert. As soon as we get there we will take a guided dromedary ride to see the most impressive spectacle of the desert; the sunset from the dunes in the desert of Morocco. After this unforgettable experience we will return to our accommodation and enjoy dinner. You have the option to choose between staying in a Hotel – Kasbah (a unique hotel in the traditional adobe style) or jaimas (a traditional Berber tent) under the starry night sky with all of its\u00a0 comforts. This journey is 200 km (124 miles).<\/p>\n Today you have the opportunity to see the sunrise in the desert of Morocco<\/strong>.\u00a0 Yes, in order to see this \u00a0show, you must get up very early, we highly recommend it. Our guide will take you to see this wonderful show in the dunes mounted on dromedaries. Afterwards we will return to our camp, where we will have breakfast and prepare to start the journey towards the Rissani Palm Grove. This place is well known for its history and its beauty with several interesting monuments. We will continue towards Al Nif, on the way we can see herds of wild dromedaries. We will pass through Agdez and later we will arrive at Ourzazate, also known as the \u201cPearl of the South\u201d. We can enjoy dinner and our accommodation. You can choose between staying in a Riad or hotel, depending on your preference. This route is 370 km(229 miles).<\/p>\n Our sixth day starts with breakfast in Ouarzazate, where you will visit with a private local tour guide of the Kasbah Taurirt, the former residence and harem of the Pach\u00e1 of Marrakech. Then we will continue to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site. A \u00a0lunch will be provided before continuing our trip to Marrakech. Upon arrival at the accommodation, you will be able to choose to stay at a hotel or Riad. This route is 213 km (132 miles).<\/p>\n After breakfast on this day, we will take you for a stroll through the Palm Grove of Marrakech on horse carriage. We will finish the walk in the Jamma Elfna square: there we will leave you to enjoy some free time to walk through the impressive Souk of Marrakech. Be sure to enjoy it’s many colors, aromas, entertainment and animation.
