This Grand tour of Morocco begins in Casablanca and ends in Casablanca. This tour includes, three nights in Casablanca, 2 nights in Marrakech, one night in Essaouira, one night in Agadir, one night in Ourzazate, one night in the Merzouga Desert and one night in Fes.
Day 1 • Arrival in Casablanca
Upon arrival at Casablanca, you will be assisted on your transfer from Casablanca airport to the hotel. You can enjoy some free time and dinner. Depending on the time of your arrival we can take a panoramic tour of Casablanca before reaching the hotel.
Day 2 • Private guided tour of Casablanca – Marrakech
Our second day begins with breakfast at the hotel followed by a panoramic tour of Casablanca. The tour of Casablanca includes visiting the most impressive mosque in Morocco: the Hassan II Grand Mosque. From Casablanca we will travel to Marrakech where we will enjoy our accommodation and a gala dinner with a show of the Atlas and the Sahara tribes, the spectacular Horses-Fantasia show and gunpowder shots. After the show we will head back to the hotel. This route is 243 km (150 miles).
Day 3 • Private city tour of Marrakech
On day three we will have breakfast at the hotel or Riad followed by a private guided tour of Marrakech. You will visit the Menara Gardens – La Koutoubia Mosque – Bahia Palace – Jamaa Elfna Square – the old Medina – The Jewish quarter of Marrakech and the Majorelle Gardens.
After all of the excitement of the day, we will relax into our accommodation at the hotel .
Day 4 • Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast we will depart for Essaouira: the ancient fortress known in the past as El Mogador, one of the most important fishing ports on the African Atlantic coast. Essaouira is currently a quiet, artistic, bohemian, small town, full of wonder. We will have a chance to visit Essaouira in full. We will go view the fortress of Essaouira as well as the small fishing port, the “souk” (market) and the interesting Jewish Quarter. We will then settle into our accommodation and have dinner. This route is 191 km (119 miles).
Day 5 • Essaouira – Agadir
On this day, we will have breakfast at the hotel and depart for the city of Agadir via the coastal route of the Atlantic Ocean. First We will have a beautiful panoramic tour of Agadir, then , we will settle into our accommodation and enjoy dinner. This journey is 275 km (170 miles).
Day 6 • Agadir – Taroudant – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ourzazate
We begin with breakfast at the hotel in Agadir and depart to visit the town of Taroudant. After a panoramic tour of Taroudant we will continue on our way until we reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a World Heritage Site), one of the most picturesque and unique places in Morocco. After the visit of the Kasbah, we continue to Ouarzazate, the “Pearl of the Desert”. Where we will have our accommodation and dinner. This route is 358 km (222 miles).
Day 7 • Ourzazte – Todra Gorges – Erg Chebbi: Merzouga desert
After breakfast we will visit the Kasbah Taurirt in Ourzazate. This is the former harem residence of the Pachá in Marrakech. We will continue our journey through the route of the kasbahs (old adobe and wood fortresses). In this itinerary we are going to contemplate the impressive gorges of the Todra river. The Todra river is one of the most extraordinary places that nature has ever created. Through erosion the Todra river has built a narrow gorge with vertical walls over 300 m high (984 feet), it is a real spectacle. After crossing this impressive gorge we will arrive at Erfoud: the door to the desert. We will visit a fossil extraction center in Erfoud. Remaining testimony of the incredible aquatic life that existed in this place several millions of years ago. From Erfoud we will continue towards Merzouga and visit the Erg Chebbi desert. As soon as we arrive, we will ride a dromedary and our expert guide will take us to see the most impressive spectacle of the desert; the sunset in the desert of Morocco. After this unforgettable experience we will return to our accommodation and have dinner. You have the option to choose between staying in a Hotel – Kasbah (a unique hotel in the traditional adobe style) or jaimas (a traditional Berber tent) under the starry night sky with all of its comforts. This journey is 365 km (225 miles).
Day 8 • Merzouga desert – Ifran – Fes
Today you have the opportunity to see the sunrise in the desert of Merzouga (optional): yes, you have to get up very early but we highly recommend it. Our guide will take you to see this wonderful show on dromedaries. Afterwards we will return to the camp base, where we will have breakfast and prepare to start the journey to Fes. On this journey, we will be passing through Ifran and Benimellal. Once in Fes, we will unpack in our accommodation and enjoy dinner. This route is 469 km (291 milles).
Day 9 • Private Guided tour of Fes
After breakfast we will spend the day visiting the city of Fes. Our local tour guide from Fes will pick you up from your accommodation and take you for a walk to discover the most emblematic and exotic corners of this charming city. You will visit the golden doors of the Royal palace, see the old Medina, explore the Medrasa El Bou Anania, the Nejjarin fountain , the Karaouine Mosque, one of the main cultural centers of Islam and home to the University of Fes and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Of course we are not going to forget the tanners quarter, the Jewish quarter of Fes and the neighborhoods of the artisan guilds. A delicious lunch will be provided on this day.
At the end of the day we will enjoy dinner and our accommodation.
Day 10 • Fes – Meknes – Rabat – Casablanca
On our tenth day, we will have breakfast and depart to visit the first imperial city: Meknes. Our local tour guide will take you to discover Meknes and it’s impressive medieval wall, its doors such as the Bab El Mansour gate, the Agdal pond and the impressive Moulay Ismael Mausoleum – Mosque. Then we will continue our route to the second imperial city: Rabat. In Rabat you will visit with our local tour tour guide the Royal Palace, the Kasbah of the Oudaya, the Mausoleum of King Mohamed V, the unfinished Mosque and the Hassan Tower. After visiting Rabat we will continue our route to the economic capital of Morocco: Casablanca where we will enjoy a private city tour.
We will have dinner and relax into our accommodation. This journey is 300 km (186 milles).
Day 11 • Casablanca – Transfer to Casablanca airport
On our final day, we will have a full breakfast at the hotel followed by your transfer to Casablanca airport.
